Pretty cool video.
Makes me wonder if a fully built VQ motor with a twin turbo will blow an RB26DETT out the water or does the RB still have more of an edge performance-wise.

VQ would have an extra .9 liters on the RB, so if boost and all else was the same, I would think the VQ would have more power

more tq. at least, but remember there is A LOT more support for the RB than there is for the VQ.
The thing with the Z, is that we have to spend a crapload of money just to start with a stock RB, and then on top of that we spend money to make it faster.
As opposed to making the VQ stronger and faster (no swapping costs).
However, I think that a motor that is meant for boost is always better in the end (IMO) as far as handling the power.
Costs aside, I would go for an RB-swap.

are you using firefox? I had the same problem but tried it in Internet suckplorer and it worked
but great video and awesome Z. They got it to weigh under 3000 pounds too (I think somewhere like 2970).

Badass car. I'd do the RB swap if I had the cash. I have a buddy who does engine swaps at his garage, so he is well versed in the whole thing. The RB is supposedly stronger internally and is a lot more dependable in the long run (from what I hear) when run with higher boost than the VQ. Is that true?

the rb engines handle 800whp stock but some build the bottom end for 1000+ whp.
i believe it's stronger than the 2jz engines.

the RB has a closed deck and iron block. Good for boost.

I AM SO SICK OF TRYING TO WATCH VIDEOS ON STREETFIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know what the problem is, but for the last month or so I have not been able to watch videos. It just keeps freezing......buffering......freezing..........buf fering. I've tried pausing it and letting it buffer all the way...no go. I've tried switching to Flash and doing the same thing...no go. Now when I switch to Flash, I'm with you Jun...I have no sound AND it keeps freezing.

Does anyone know if there are any documented RB25/RB26DETT swaps or info on them on the forums?
