New Prospective Owner
Hey guys, I'm a new prospective owner from Houston.
I just turned 17 and my parents agreed to put 40% down on a car purchase of no more than 20k. I've been saving cash for a car since I was tiny, and for the last year I've been driving around a 2001 Pontiac Montana (mini-van) with broken doors, powerlocks, and a stolen stereo system (all preceding my 'inheritance' of it, heheh) so I'm looking forward to driving around a car that I can actually have some fun in.
My dad drives a 800HP Supra TT 98 so he's going to help me out a bit in tuning my car once I save up some more cash from the purchase, but I figured for 350z particulars I should go to a place where the people really know what they're talking about.
I've loved the 350z since it debuted back in 03 and the chance to finally get my dream car is pretty killer, so I don't want to **** up my purchase, heh.
Anyways here's to seeing yall around, can't wait till I can track down the Z for me.
edit) Oh and my the way, is there any way I can pick up a brickhouse for less than 20k with decent miles? I love the color, but super/ magnetic black looks pretty nice too so it won't be too crushing if I can't track one down.

The "brickhouse" model is somewhat of a myth... It is merely a reference that grew legs over time through much over-use when it became obvious that (much to their owner's dismay) that unmanned Mustang(s) were found to have re-positioned themselves across parking lots - to park ever closer to the much coveted 350Z at every opportunity, hoping the nick-name would rub off on them. This is perhaps the greatest cause of door-dings to our beloved Z. To date: This oversight in vehicular control programming is likely the most expensive and long-running recall in Ford history... costing Detroit millions to cure the issue.
On a more serious note - Perhaps you meant "Brickyard" (color)? In any regard - Welcome - there's a great bunch of folks here - always willing to help you out when you need it most!

lol I don't quite get what darkpath was going for, but A+ for the story.
Now, onto the welcoming. Welcome Nosotros. That is pretty sweet that your parents are helping you and that your dad as a 800hp Supra. Post some pictures of it sometime.
2003s are cheap these days, and while Brickyard Zs are somewhat rare, they're not rare enough to drive the price anywhere near breaking your budget of $20k. Good luck on the search.

Here's the Supra, in all it's glory. This is the only pic I could find on my comp, atm it's at the shop (Tommy Supra is checking it out) but as soon as I get it back I'll be sure to post some better pics.

He also has an old Jag XKE. Got it from my grandparents, who bought it from a widow for like 3 grand way back in the day.

Yup, I think your talking about the Brickyard color. Since I have one, you can drool over the signature pick! Welcome to the site and good luck on your search. If you really want a Brickyard you can find one, it will just take some time. Get the one you want, you will be much happier.
