how can you tell if your tire is popped?

Hey guys, sorry about asking these noob questions.
So I was being really careless today, and drove over a concrete stopper in the parking lot. It was very rough, I can tell. I almost thought I crashed into a truck or something.
I immediately heard the hissing noise, then I realized it was from the front tire. After driving awhile, the tire pressure warning sign popped up, and the car kept beeping and telling me how the front tire pressure is 0 psi.
My tire, however, is not completely flat as you see those ones that are popped. It's kinda half flat, maybe? But it's definitely flatter than other ones.
Do you guys have any idea what's going on with the tire? like is it popped? or something else?
Also, I'm afraid that I might have somehow damaged the parts that are underneath the car, like exhaust syste, etc...
Do you guys think I should bring it to the Nissan dealer to get checked up or just some autoshop is fine?
I want to get the car checked up thoroughly, making sure no problems will come up later. What do you guys recommend?
Thanks a lot in advance guys.
Winston

just replace the tire man. regardless if its half flat your sensor is telling you that you have NO pressure in there whatsoever. If you did anything else to the car you would have had all sorts of OTHER 'beeping lights' telling you what you f**ked up. Dont be riding on it as it is. if you have time - air it up, while you are doing that - feel around to check to see if its even fixable or if you need a new tire altogether.

another thing - be nice to your car, if you wanna be hard on it...learn to drive..

since your a noob I gave my .02 cents.. if you put this on anywhere else you would have been flamed..BADLY..

GL man I hope you get your baby fixed.

Performance tires have stiffer sidewalls for performance reasons. The thicker rubber is why it performs and corners better, and is also why it doesn't look 100% flat.
Time to grab a new one.

Depending on what type of tire it was it could be a run flat tire. They do make those in some performance tires too. I would also check the rest of the underside of your car to make sure you didn't damage anything. Just because lights aren't going off doesn't mean you didn't bend part of your exhaust, partially damage a rubber exhaust hanger etc. Take some time to look it over and do a good visual inspection. You don't want to have future problems either.

Get a tire preasure gage and you can manually check the preasure too.

Somewhat true. It does dry inside the tire, but if you use it, I would recommend going on a somewhat lengthy drive so it can spread around the tire and actually 'set up', as it is basically glue. But yes, if you just put it in and don't drive it, it will dry in one area and throw the balance.

I would use Fix a Flat in a pinch but I'd get the tire fixed or replaced ASAP. Remember tires are the only thing between you and the road - no sense taking any chances on a blowout in the middle of a hard corner. (Not that any of us ever push our cars, lol)
