OMG.... that's crazy!!! Wonder if you can have that much in a daily driver... and if so, is it even useable without slicks?

What is a salvage pump? Looked like a head gasket to me...and the master cylinder would only be brakes or clutch...depending on which one you are referring to...neither of which would cook the motor.

That still doesn't make sense. If the scavenger pump were to go out, it would not cause white smoke. White smoke is combusting coolant. If there scavenger pump was indeed having problems, it would cause general oil starvation. I just don't understand what happened...

the guy is sitting on the back because of so much power the wheels will acually spin on the dyno at WOT... ive seen a high horsepower skyline video with 3 people sitting on the car and the car acaully jumped off the dyno but thankfully didn't go anywhere... i think it was about 1200awhp

Sound Performance says the backfire at the end was from hitting the rev limiter.
"Most high HP cars will backfire when they hit the revlimiter!!! And I certainly hit the revlimiter on that pull!! "

Hey guys, someone linked me to the vid posted up here
Here is a vid of me running the car at the track ( the trap speed backs up our dyno number) and we have more to go!
SP 350Z goes 9.35@158mph 2nd view- Video
As for the smoke, it was due to a lazy scavenge pump, all has been fixed now as you can see in the blast down the track

Welcome to the forum Chris. That's a badass Z. Few things:
1) Just out of curiosity, how streetable is the setup on that Z?
2) Tell that old camaro or trans am to back up off the Z.
3) Was the scavenger pump the cause of the smoke in the second video as well?

Damn, thanks for sharing the second video. That thing is a SLEEPER haha, minus the chute, and the drags of course lol. What kind of tranny is in that? Are the plans to go to a powerglide? My boss has a 95 white turbo Saleen that he runs 8.4's with....I couldn't believe how smooth that trans was.
