20th Anniversary 350z Questions
I just put a down payment on a 20th anniversary 2004 350z, That I'm picking up next Tuesday.
When I went to the dealer ship my dumb ass forgot to look at the engine size.
Dose anyone know if the 2004 20th anniversary 350z comes with a V6 3.5L?

Sounds like you need to slow down & do some research before going through with this purchase... you don't know anything about the car & it could come back to bite you. It's used, get a car fax, do some research. That's my advise.

If they told you it was a 20th anniversary Z then they don't know much about the car. The Z was originally introduced in October of 1969 as a 1970 model. I don't recall ever hearing of a 20th anniversary model. That would make it a 1990 300ZX.
If it is a 350Z then Pangoman is probably more on target with the 35th anniversary model. This came out in 2005 not 2004 and had the revup V6 3.5L engine with the higher redline of 7100rpm. From what I recall if it is a true 35th anniversary model I believe it only came in the Ultra Yellow.
I agree with Ashman, I think you need to do some more research before you end up getting sold something that isn't all it was made out to be. Most salesmen don't know crap about the cars they are selling.
Just ask DarkPath. They sold him a Z telling it was a Grand Touring but it didn't have the Brembo Brakes or correct rims. When he questioned them about the brakes they told him it was an option that wasn't ordered. What a line of After talking with me about it and verifying he didn't get a Grand Touring he approached the seller and an agreement was made on a $$$ settlement.

I have a 2005 Ultra Yellow Enthusiast. The color was the special option for that year (every year has its own special order color) . The Anniversary Edition came in three colors: Ultra Yellow, Black & White. Most people think thy ONLY came in yellow because that's the color car used in advertising.

It had a 20 on the side but no point (.) in between. Do all 350z's come 3.5L is where I'm getting at. Because it's a 2004 and has a 20 on the left front quoter panel. The guy said it was a 3.5 v6 but I think when I go back im going to check the engine before I put the rest of the money down.

There's a twenty where? Is there an online add so we can see it? If it's 2004 it's not an anniversary edition.

Hey man, Like Ashman said, you really need to do your research before doing anything more with this car. Dude, you don't even know the basics about the Z and you're going to purchase it? A little homework now will save you some heartache later...

Look under the Z emblem.
Also I'm not buying the car off this site I actually drove down to the dealer selling it.

That is a very high price for a 2004 base model. It seems to have a custom grille and that 20 under the Z emblem wasn't on the car when it was built. Someone added it afterward. Some of the features on the enthusiast, touring and grand touring can be added, but cruise control is hard to add.
Like others have said, do some research, find out what options you want, what they sell for etc.

If you are dead set on this car I'd say 11k out the door tax title license. It's a base model, has tacky aftermarket mods that you can fix. Personally, the dealership was trying to bullshit you on the specs. That's not a dealership I'm willing to work with. Look elsewhere forgetter standard equipment, lower miles etc.

I would offer him 14k for a base model & see what happens. I paid 15,9 for mine in 2007. I drive a 2005 Enthusiast coupe which has more features & it had 20K mileage when I bought it.
You're gonna be out of factory warranty on this one. Previous owner had 20's on it, hence the 20". Those are factory 17' rims...so, that little 20'' needs to come off asap. Plus what kind of owner put's the 20'' sticker on their Z. I bet the people on here with 20's wouldn't do that.
I did the KBB value of that car in my area & it was 14.5 in good condition, so whatever. I thought one of the reviews was hilarious.
"A fun and great car to drive. It handles well. the engine has enough power to make one feel that you are driving a sports car. IT IS A SPORTS CAR!
The only frustrating issue I find with this car is the alignment problem. It has damaged 2 sets of brand new tires. Nissan is aware of the alignment problem with their 2003 and 2004 350Z. I am not sure if they have found a solution / permanent fix."

That's JDM tight yo....keep that chit Mikky, they hatin'.
No seriously:
Do your research....
Take those hideous 20" emblems off. It says nothing but ghetto to your sports car. You might like it but you'll get laughed at by us and by others.
Enjoy your stay.....Happy Motoring

Ok, you need to do a LOT of research on Z's before buying one...end of story. I'm not trying to get a jerk, but you are asking to get ripped off without knowing any more than you do. Even if it's spending 10 minutes reading Wikipedia on them, that would help. That alone would have shown the 20th anniversary does not exist.
A)That "badge" is not OEM, It's just something the idiot previous owner stuck on.
B)The 35th anniversary Z is a 2005, and they denote the anniversary edt within the Z fender badge itself.
C)All 350z's come with a 3.5, thus the name. 240z=2.4, 280z=2.8, 300zx=3.0, 350z=3.5, 370z=3.7.
D)The 35th anniversary only came in yellow, black, and white I think. Certainly not blue.
E)That is a base model (no cruise control buttons on the wheel). This is an absolutely horrible price for this car, you need to look elsewhere, because this one is a flat out rip off. Do whatever you can to get your deposit back, include accusing them of lying to you about the anniversary edition that does not exist at all, and especially in that year.

Exactly. And again I am trying to be nice, but man...I knew EVERYTHING there was to know about Z's before I ever set foot on a lot. I knew more than the salesmen did. I just cannot imagine buying a car knowing ZERO about it. This is how stealerships stay in business I guess.

Lol, 18k is penny's bro. Im clearing 1400 a week . Eh everyone needs some change after all this is a depression. Money really isn't a issue with me. I duno some people are greedy but that's not my nature.
I have money to spend ill spend it :P.
I know I can get something better for that price but I don't feel like going through the hassle. I mean if anything ill go back and test drive it before putting the rest of the money down check the engine. and tell them to take the 20 off. If the engine and transmission spell fine then I'm all ago. Within 4-5 months I plan to put turbo and do some engine work.
