that car is ZEXY! would very much like to rock that bitch as a DD!
after seeing the 370Z compared to the GT-R and only be a couple seconds slower on the track I would love to see how the new Nismo Z stacks up to it!
also, and people will hate me for this but the Nismo Z needs a SMG tranny or double clutch automated manual tranny as well. there is no way to get the max perfromance out of the MT tranny from what I have seen so far. One magazine only managed 5.1 to 60 mph out of the new Nismo despite a 4.6 to 60 from a auto 370Z.
the fact of the matter is that a faster than human possible shifting tranny is the best way to get this car or any car around a track in the fastest possible manner (before you argue remember all Forumla 1 cars are equipped with what I am talking about).
given that the auto 370Z hit 60 in 4.6 seconds and the nismo has more power i am betting with the right tranny it would be around 4.5-4.3 to 60 mph.
okay, let the hating begin! LOL

Iono, the nismo def. looks better than the standard 370 but the look just isn't doing it for me. Too many things in one car (kinda like the RX8). Ill take a Z33 over the Z34 regardless of price
THat looks a lot better than the 350z nismo tho lol

Thank god, we can turn our flame suits on together. I know it's a purist/enthusiast car, but while all of you are complaining about "slush boxes" those automated manuals/double clutch/automatic transmissions are shifting faster than human reaction and propelling us into speeds and times around a track we would have never acheived without that technology. Someone please drive an F1 car and tell me it's not pure unadulterated racing.

That car is freaking bad ass. I would hate to see Z33 owners be like the Z32 owners I've seen lately. It seems like the Z32 hates on the 350 just cause its different and such and not as true as those years. They fail to realize it was a different time and this is a car for a different crowd. In the end they are all the same family. I feel like 350 owners are resenting the 370Z just cause it's the new kid on the block and that sucks. I love my 350 more than anything, but I can admit the 370 has def. up'd it for me and its gonna be hard to let it go if I have to, but I can see myself rocking a new Z at some point for sure.

I dont think thats the case at all. I think it's cuz we love our Z33s so much most of us expected the Z34 to be some kind of supersexy supercar LOL. Im not hating on it at all cuz i can proudly say that the Z34 has interior that can compete with the BMW 1series(better imo), with the performance unmatched in it's class, with the sticker price that puts a smile on a lot of hard working peoples' face There isn't a new car that i would choose over the Z34 in it's price range. Only thing that bothers me is the exterior (too much pizzaz for me and to a lot of Z33 owners).
Can't talk for the Z32 guys but i do see a lot of em hating on the Z33 for looking too girly, bubbly, etc. I dont care tho cuz i think Z32s' look dated as FAWK and u can call that hating i dont care! lol

Well, there were things I was not particularly fond of when I first saw the 370Z last November, headlights, tailights, 3rd eye plug, fangs, small side rear windows, fatter, less aerodynamic looking mirrors, bumps in roof, to name a few.
It has grown on me though and the Nismo version has corrected some of those styling queue's. Its not as obvious your looking at a Nismo which I don't mind. I like it much better than the 370Z.
I also test drove a 370Z last week, the 7 speed auto. I left quite impressed with the transmission. It is definately a step up from the 350Z auto. Nice crisp shifts between gears. It hits the next gear pretty hard like it has a shift kit in it. It goes pretty well too. The dealer let me test drive it by myself and I took it on the highway. Pulled on normally, saw an opening, downshifted one gear via paddle shifter, then downshifted another came close to readline hit the next gear and was gone without lots of gas. By the time I could give a look at the speedo i was going over 100 mph. Dang that was fun!
There was a red Nismo at our clubs car show last week. I took some pics but need to get them posted. I will try to do that soon.
