Next ZROC event IS August 16th. E-mail sent out to all the members this morning. Web site is not updated due to Jim's moving but will see if we can get that done. Evening cruise, end up at Jim's for pizza/drinks. Details to follow when Gregg fills me in.

I had to take one for the team, so I got stuck in Cbbus with no ride, Monday roles around and Dustin picks me up around 2 and takes me to the shop. To my suprise, its was DONE and RUNNING! (Keep in mind it wasnt dyno'd yet...) well at about 4 pm a stupid fookin civic gets on the dyno. Now normally it would only take 1-2 hours to quick tune right?? HELL NO, not this civic. 1130PM!!! I finally got to get my Z on the dyno. *This is where the magic happened* As he begins the first pull, only got up to about 5 psi, we hear this mystical sound *tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink tink* What is it you ask. A muther fookin rod bearing! Or so they think....SOOOOOOO now that we are all caught up. I'm back home without the Z. They are going to have to pull the engine out of the car and find the problem. Oh and did I mention that I have to pay if full for this repair!? Does that sound right to you? The shop said its not their fault and they arent paying for it. I'm just at such a loss of words it makes me sick, so far I have tallied up 6,500 dollars....its gonna cost me around 1,000 just to pull and re install the engine, thats not including the repair parts.......****!

Out of curiosity, what shop is doing your work? (it's alright if it's not something you're disclosing).

How many of you guys going to the Z International Convention in Cleveland?
We extended the money saving pre-registration through August 15th.
Plenty of Hotel rooms still available.
We have plannned activities for days & nights...it's going to be a blast.
Top Nismo & Nissan dignitaries will be attending.
Hey Steve....I made a phone call earlier today to ZROC; Joyce Freieret, I got her number from the Nissan Sport magazine Z club partnership page and her answering machine said that it wasn't taking any messages?????????

Jerry, Joyce told me you called but did not leave a message - I'll let her know to empty her VM box or whatever.

Thanks Steve!
I just wanted to say what I said above & also the Ohio turnout is very low at this time & we sure can use your club's support.
Thanks again.

Speaking for ZROC, this club is famous for registering on site. Plus we are less than two hours away so I am thinking a lot of people will be making day trips rather than taking the entire week and spending the night. We are getting together this weekend and plan on discussing ZCON so I'll get back to you via PM or e-mail when I have a feel for attendance.
