I didn't find any videos on a quick search for lightly modded 350z vs C5....did find one on c5 z06 vs. Supercharged 350Z (just for shits and giggles)
Supercharged 350Z vs. Tuned C5 Z06- Video

a supercharged 350Z does not have enough power to run with a Z06 but a TT 350Z putting down 460-500rwhp can easily run with a Z06 and beat it.

The C5 Z06 puts down around 375whp - a supercharged Z should be in the same area I would think....yes, a Z with a hundred more HP than a Z06 will definitely beat it.

yeah but I'm guessing the C5 Z06 has steeper gears. I would imagine that a Z with the 3.9 final driver would do better.
but again, if you go FI with a 350Z it better be TT if you want any real power.
by the way, someone on the comments section of that vid added that the vette had 475rwhp I think. either way, the vette wasn't stock so it could have had less or more then that either way but it was def beyond stock numbers.

I don't think a "tuned" (ECU reflash) c5 Z06 would put down anything like that. The C6 Z06 doesn't even get that at the wheels stock (well, the early C6 Z06 - now Vettes got a HP bump this year)

ok so i figured out why i beat him when he let me drive it the other day. Since it's a 4-speed auto, if you floor it from 45, which is what we did our races from, it only downshifts to 3rd. i was in the top 2nd and pulled. when i floored it in the c5 from like 38 tho, right below 40, it downshifted to 2nd and is nasty lol. so we'll retry from 38 or something next time

Yes...ZR-1 is the n ew supercharged Vette.
No...It's putting down 600+hp and its roughly $100-150K, depending on where you get it.
Of course the one I posted above is John Hennesey's ZR-1 and its putting down close to 700hp.

At the wheels? I thought the ZR-1 put down 68x HP at the crank? If he's only looking for 500+ HP....C6 Z06 is much cheaper and rides/handles a lot better with the new tires they use from Michelin. I'd rather grab the Z51 b/c it's easier to FI
