His little Pony
I was in south GA going through a very very small town on my way back up to ATL. I was going about 65 when I look in my mirror and a black mustang shoots right past me!! He stopped at the light ahead and I pulled up next to him. LOL He said " Nice ride city boy!!"" HA HA HA. I was laughing at what he said but then I noticed that he was in a cobra. Late 90's stlye. I wont lie....... but I second guesed myself. I looked at my wife and she had a pissed look on her face because she knew what I was about to do. Green Light............... We were dead even in 1st I pulled ahead in 2nd he kept nipping at my heals before I knew it I was in 6th and he backed off!!!!! I dont know if he just didnt know how to drive that thing or what but I wont say I smoked him but I did beat him. I know that he probally went back to his trailer and cried a little bit because a "city boy" came to his town and spanked him. Who knows.... He may have liked it!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup, older Cobra's aren't S/C, so they aren't terribly fast. I had a friend with a '97 Cobra with gears, intake and exhaust, and he could not break out of the 14's with it.
But yes, the 03 and 04's are supercharged, and will eat a Z alive.
Good Kill! I love when the V6 embarasses a V8.

eh, before 03 they are really much trouble. Like 94 to 98 cobras actually need a bit of work to hang with an z.

Street racing thru a small town at 145+ mph isn't very smart. Also, shows what little respect you have for your wife to do it with her in the vehicle.

While the admonition regarding street racing may be warranted for safety's sake... the final comment was a bit harsh And a touch beyond your paygrade... I am thinking if you once owned a Z and now a Z06 that you have likely put your foot in the firewall a time or two. Maybe it was personal experience talking.... Thanks for the input...

^^lol....in addition, for all we know...maybe the wife was just giving the pissed look because she wanted to be in the drivers seat, but she had to instead endure it from shotgun! haha

I forget what exact years, I am thinking 1999 and 2001, the Cobras had basically the Mach 1 engine and could hang with LS1 Camaros and Trans Ams. So basically it would beat stock 03-06 Zs. If he had that engine, and was stock, I'd say your outcome is reasonable. If he had mods, well then who knows haha. I could go back and forth all day about "if he has" and "if you have."
Good kill, and let's keep everything respectful everyone.

The non s/c Cobras are 305 hp and ran close to 14 flat, hit 150 on top The LTx Camero SS and Formula 350 would beat it, by just a little bit.
