Exhaust preference? (>o.o)>
Which do you guys prefer?
I would like something that is quality and aggressive. I have a Nismo CAI coming, but I am not sure I want a Nismo Exhaust. So I guess I'm just asking for opinions and suggestions. Feel free to yell at me for making a thread I'm sure gets made every week.

I've had both the Greddy Evo-2 and the Greddy Ti-C on my Z. Both deepen the tone slightly. Just the other day I took the silencers out of the Ti-C and it's loud as crap, so I might put them back in.
Anyways back to the point, I've liked both on my car, otherwise there are many other options as BonesZ has listed. Youtube is a good place to go to listen to many of the popular exhausts out there.

Hey Th3un4givin, you can just call me Ty since my sn is kind of a handful. Well honestly it depends on what you are going to do later and what your goals are for the car. The EVO-2 is a slightly more conservative exhaust for the car. It isn't as loud as the Ti-C, but it still deepens the sound of the stock exhaust. Both exhausts keep the original note of the stock exhaust, so you still get the sexy tone that the Z makes lol. The Ti-C comes with silencers installed that are completely removable, with the silencers out the Ti-C becomes a much louder exhaust (it isn't whiny or crappy like a ricer though), she still purrs. The Ti-C (this is personal preference though) looks nicer to me because of the way it flares and has heat treated titanium tips (the blue burnt look). If you are going to drop a turbo into your car I would probably go for the Ti-C since that's what it is more geared toward. Both cost about the same (except the Ti-C has a cheaper single outlet version as well). For the duals, the EVO-2 is a little more but not too much. If you're car is stock and you plan on keeping the engine NA then the performance gains from each are going to be about the same, nothing noticeable. So for a NA engine it might be coming down to which you think looks/sounds better. To hear them, you can go to youtube and find sound clips for both of those exhausts.
If you are curious about my personal preference, I like the looks and sound of the Ti-C better than the EVO-2, but someone else may think differently. So personally, I like the Ti-C better and that's what I'm currently running on my Z.
Hope this helps, feel free to ask if you have any more questions about these exhausts.

Thanks Ty, yea i just got my z not too long ago so right now its stock...to be honest i dont really know what i want to do, whether it be a turbo or not, i know there pretty expensive so it wont be for a lill while down the road.
I was looking at the JWT popcharger as well, it looks like a short ram design, its all under the hood...is there a diff between that and the CAI or not so much?

Yeah the JWT is essentially a short ram, bolts right to the stock intake tube (unless you get another one). I lot of people who don't get a CAI generally go with the Pop charger. I don't know about different performance gains, specifically, but I'm pretty sure they are similar. The JWT comes with a heat shield as to help keep the air your car is breathing cooler. For the price, the JWT is well worth it and is easiest to install I would say out of the two. Somebody else who has a CAI may give some input, but I think the majority go with the JWT, and the performance gains between the two intakes is probably something you won't notice.

One of the things I loved about the Z was its OEM exhaust sound.
I hated going to meets and hearing all the convoluted, riced-out sounding aftermarket exhaust systems for it....even if they did add power.
It's just one man's opinion, but for me, the Nismo exhaust was the best choice.
It kept that factory 350Z sound that I loved and looked 100% better than stock, with the chrome tips and that Nismo chrome muffler.

That is some damn expensive metal, even with the discount. $1300 is a little much. Anyways I will look on youtube.com and check out some borla/greddy/stillen/tanabe etc etc. Thanks for the tips.

I think with it discounted it was like 600
I have had the invidia N1 exhaust, greddy evo2, and now my custom hks single.
It all depends on what your are looking for, a duel exit exhaust (Invidia N1, top speed, megan) a true dual exhaust (greddy evo2, hks TD, borla, stillen) or a single exhaust ( greddy ti-c, agency, apexi) which for the most part are 3" piping.
Do some research and decide what would best suit you

^^lol is your goal to be the loudest out there? I can't really compare cause I don't know how loud your exhaust is in person, but with the silencers taken out, my Greddy Ti-C get's pretty loud, not overwhelming or anything. Let me just jump over to DFW so we can compare lol.
