What do you think about Barry Bonds and Steroids?

In the last few days, there's been (again) more news about Barry Bonds and his alleged use of steroids.

So what do you think??

Personally, I think it's disappointing. Just think, you have everything, so why would you risk that and use steroids. Unbelievable.

lol....I think his enhanced performances mars what athletics was meant to be. True sports men don't need enhancing, they perform with what they have. Wonder how his bedroom sports fares now with steroid use?

shezz....is it true the 'roids decrease the action in the bedroom? if so, maybe he hears "batter up" much more on the baseball field than in the other playing field.

Really, it's not a big of a deal as it used to be. I think watching athletes doing superhuman feats is cool. Wait until steroids is a thing of the past and bionics is a banned internal enhancement.

Stereoids are just a quick way to get big, but those things got so many side effects, I don't even want to know what it's doing to the body.

Besides, once you stop working out, everything becomes a big pack of meat, because all it does is fill your muscles with water and increases your metabolisem to some insane levels.

The scarey thing about it, that high school kids use it now and guess where they got the idea from?

Yeah, it is all entertainment, but it also ruins the competition and gives an unlevel playing field. Just think how many more homeruns hank aaron or babe ruth woulda hit. Well, babe probably woulda just ate the steriods, so that doesnt matter. But it just sucks for the guy that trains hard and works hard and is still a step below cause he has morals.

I think its kinda funny though. LIke the conan obrien show i went to last night. Conan said barry bonds didnt know he was taking steriods. He just thought it was tasty candies that made his muscles bigger and made him impotent. hahaha, i was dying.

Do people really believe that he "didn't know" what he was taking?? Cmon....gimme a break. He absolutely knew. He got massive so fast. Look at Sosa and pictures when he was with the White Sox. Sosa is another player that I would bet uses steroids. Lets come to reality people......My guess is 1 out of 4 take something to give them an edge.

couldnt have said it any better. All these players acomplished so much naturally and to have someone who took steroids take teir records really sucks.

On another note, I saw a special on this guy who was making the drug that was supplied to a lot of people (bonds trainer, marion jones) and basically, the main ingredient is growth hormone which IMO is better than steroids. This drug was undetectable which is whythese athletes could take it without being found out, but the reason marion jones was caught was because somebody got a smaple of it and send it to the olympic commitee and they were able to break it down. Just to show you the effects of this drug, marion jones said that after taking it for just TWO WEEKS she gained 28 POUNDS of Muscle. When they interviwed her about winning, she said it was too easy (no shlt), but when they stripped her medal and gave it to the runner up, they tested positive for using enhancers as well (and the second runner up too) This is what happens, one athlete starts doing it, so in order to compete other athletes feel the pressure that the only way they could keep up is by taking enhancers.

People are so misinformed. The Balco syn-steroid increases strength without the bulk the other "roids" cause. That is why it was the drug of choice for sprinters. To say someone got bigger using the balco steroid shows how misinformed they are. Steroids are not a instant super athlete drug. There is not drug that will increase Bonds disipline in the batters box, if anything the roid would make him edgy.

I would bet that better than half of all the baseball players are
on something. it is unfair since the players are not competing
on a level playing field. the rules should apply to every player.
they will all pay a price in the long run. Remember the football
players that died at an early age from heavy steroid use.

I feel great about watching roided out freaks playing sports. If they are willing put all that time into the gym and all that money into performance drugs and doctors,and ignore the risks that are in their face every day, I feel morally obligated to watch.

This is great bang for buck guys. We get to watch these guys do the impossible durring their career and then we get the added bonus of watching the Beyond the Glory Days specials where these formor heros wither away in wheelchairs as we here the pitty speach on how steroids are bad.
