2005 Gto
Just checked out an article in Car and Driver and they did a comparo between the new stang and the new GTO.
If I were one of the fools that rushed out last year and bought a GTO, I would be pi##ed!
After being out for one whole year, the 2005 GTO has an additional 50 hp and many other performance and appearance upgrades.
Can you imagine that sh#t? If I had bought my 03 Z and the very next year they had some major upgrades, especially 50 more hp, I would be absolutely livid.
The GTO has 400 hp and a 0-60 of under 5 seconds. It's a damn shame the car is so fugly.

50 hp at the flywheel can be gained with a mod, but yeah, that would suck.

I dislike nearly all of the Pontiac line-up. Except the GTO. I think it looks nice compared to any other cars Pontiac has pushed out of their factories. I like to think of it like this: GTO:Corvette as G35:350Z. Except there's a much bigger difference between the GTO and Vette. The Vette and GTO would be on the top of my list if I ever decide to get a domestic car. But I'm asian, it's gonna be hard for me to "convert".

No, its still a Z06. I saw a video of a Z06 vs. C6, and from a roll, the Z06 killed, but a stop, the C6 beat it by a C/L. Weird.

I'm actually a fan of the new GTO, ever since I saw Rhys Millen drift the GTO at the Formula D drift events last year. That car has ALOT of potential, especially the newer models and the GTO Judge if it ever comes out.

the z06 you probably saw was the c5 z06 vs. the new c6 coupe corvette
the c6 z06 is going to be a total different monster with 500hp, and also awesome through the corners like a track monster

I've sene thenew 05 Gto in person, and it actually loosk pretty damn good.
Pontiac also offers dealer insalled body kits to make it even more edgy.
Also, not only did 05 owners get 50 extra hp, they got it from a brand new LS2, rather than the aging Ls1.

Not a big fan of the styling. When you look at this car, it's hard to believe it's pushing 400 hp, just doesn't look like it, but the world is full of surprises.
I heard it has HORRIBLE reliability reviews, with dozens of TSB's and what's not.

I haven't heard of any serious Tsb's. But then again, most cars have minor stuff.

$33,xxx
6spd is the only option, everything else: Blaupunkt stereo, leather, bucket seats, Ls2, color matched gauges, etc is standard.

Their site is totally lame. I don't see a way to build it.
Ok, maybe the styling isn't too bad, but they could have done better.
The interior is a blast. Good job on that.
The drivetrain will most likely sell this car if you ask me.
6.0L V-8, 400 hp, 400 torque, 6 speed.
* Gas station sold seperatly!
