Moments With Rice
Thought i would start up a ricer thread and see what riceiness you all have encountered lately.
I'll start with a nice gem of a ricer I ran across today. honestly, when I say this ricer was the pinnacle of rice I kid you not.
So, there I am sitting at a right turn waiting to go when from behind me I hear a stereo loud enough to cause unborn fetuses to go deaf. Take a cassual look in my mirror and not to my suprise sits a black crx that looks like it was built in 19driverwasn'tevenbornyet80s. lowered, springs cut no doubt as it was nice and bouncey and looked like the ricer attempted Flat Balck but ended up with Luandry faded gray/black instead. What about the exhaust you ask, well now, this thing had a fart cannon on it that other fart cannons pray to at night.
Well, I had no desire to be around this riceiness so we got around the corner and I give it about 2/3s throttle easily leaving him behind reving like mad to keep up. Took him several blocks to catch me, pulls up next to me, slows down with his window down and keeps looking over me. Stop at a light with him slighty ahead of me in the right lane looking at me in the mirror. So I stare back laughing to myself until he got nervous and looked away. I pass him which causes him to get behind me and ride my ass so bad it looked like he was trying to make illigitimate children between his car and mine. He got an opening and gets next to me, at which point with my window down I look at him and yell, "RICER PLEASE". He lloked at me with the most confused looked on his face, shifts into neutral (was a auto) and starts reving his fart can as much as he can. Seriously, it sounded like fat albert running through traffice frantically looking for a bathroom after eating too much chile! FART FART FARRRRTTTTTTT. I pulled along side him as he stopped behind a car waiting to turn and was laughing my ass off at him. The best part was how he had his sunglasses half on half off looking at me over the tops of them.
ahhh moments with rice, you gotta love'em!
so, let's hear your always fun encounters with ricers!

the term "ricer" refers to the person/owner not the car itself. ANY car can be "riced" out. basically, the ricer puts useless/fake mods on their car and stickers all over it with a fart can on the back and drive around acting like they have the fastest car on the block.
mustangs, vettes, nissans, whatever it is it can be riced out.
so, by nature our cars are not rice, some owners are though.

What Jamie said. It refers to how the car is modded and the very personality of the driver, not the car itself. You can rice a Mustang (I've seen it), or you can tastefully do a CRX and have it not be rice...however that is seldom done.

Man i have been wanting to take a picture of a Z this older guy has that lives by my friend......... How can i explain this Z..... well its gray.... Has some wheels that look like hud caps and are 20"s. then he has a gay spoiler about 1 foot tall... What realy pisses me of are the Pep Boys mods... He has a 'turbo' emblem on the rear. (i swear this Z has to be completely stock). On the front fenders he has black stick on 'vents' and also black stick on vents on the hood. The worst part are these chrome...... things on the doors.... Just 2 two feet long 1 inch wide chrome strips that look randomly places on each door...... I want to smash his windows every time i see it..... 1 order of rice comming up!!

sounds nearly as bad as that guy in Florida with the blue riced out Z with the fake S/C intake on it!
okay, so this morning I ma heading into work and among many other ricey civics and waht not that I see around Anaheim on a daily basis one ricer caught my attention.
he was driving a bone stock 1995 or so mazada protege that had a mazadspeed sticker on the trunk, crooked of course, and a ricey spolier on the back. up front on the front fender he had a couple of Japanese lettering stickers, which I can only assume translate into "RICER X". best part was the aftermarket HUB CAPS, he had chrome-what you expected anything less then fake chrome?! dark green with dents here and there and a driver acting like it was the most badass car ever.
he was nearly as bad as the black civic I saw this morning also with cut springs, blacked out taillights, riced out wing and fart cannon flying in and out of traffic.
ahhhh ricers, they truly are a different breed. A retarded breed, but nonetheless different!

Ok, i want to keep this gem going. One day when i first got the Z i was at my buddies house when i ran into this kid that he knew. Turns out the kid drove a mid 90's chevy cavi. It was green with a fart can and various ricey things. The looks of it aren't the good part, the best part was the convo that followed our introduction. He told me he was building his car for nitrous, wich i respected until he told me the ridiculous shot size, now i can't remember if it was 150 or 200, but i was like, "wtf dude, you'll blow your motor doing that." He tells me he's sure that his build can handle it. Then came the best part, I asked him what he ran at Firebird, our local track, he tells me 12.4 sec. I just smiled and asked him if he wanted a race. He declined saying i'd smoke him. I replied giving the magazine times ive read, the best of wich being a 13.7 at sea level. He looked trapped, and changed the subject. Then his buddy chimed in saying that the cavi beats his 300zxtt... I was like, "really?" Flash forward two weeks later, i'm in my younger bro's PT Cruiser Turbo HO and we run into this cavi... Our car was full of people and I told my bro to take him on so we do and the Cruiser (my brother just having received it not knowing how to use the sport stick yet) hung with it very well... Needless to say I was laughing the entire time... silly ricer.

Whats up with those mustangs and their japanese letters?....I guessed they are tuned by Onsuku Performance (provided by Pep Boys)
When I laughed the most is seeing this 03 Yellow Mustang, with Onsuku Performance emblems and like 2 BIG "GTR" emblems all over the back of the car....oh, and lets not forget the nice TURBO/Supercharger stickers.....it's a Hybrid Mustang .
"VTEC tuning" on Chevy Camaro....now thats what I call serious perfomance

There we are on the freeway in the slow lane doing about +5 over & all of the sudden I see multi colored headlights that were brighter than the sun with some low & far apart fog lights dart from the middle lane & slowly creep up on me until I could barely see the headlights. It looked really cool & sporty.
I had the car on cruise cause we were going to be on the road for an hour & I didn't want any problems. The car persisted behind me even though he could have passed me in the middle lane.
I turn on my rear wind shield wiper & give him a little Z tinkle. he pulls around me & yes my friends it's none other than a fully tricked out 1995 Toyota Tercel sedan with Flaming basketball sticker on the passenger door & all 93 hp & 100 foot pounds of torque screaming by me like I was standing still. He must have reached speeds in excess of 82MPH!
The vortex of wind created caused me to almost loose control of the car. I tried to take a picture, but he was so far away from me there was just no way I was gonna be able to catch that.
If you're out there Mr. flaming basketball Tercel guy please contact me, so I can get your autograph.

A fe months back, a Yarus flew by me on the interstate doing probably close to 90-100 mph, and kicked up a friggin rock right into my window which immediately made a crack shoot across the bottom of my windshield. Although the car was not riced out, the driver sure thought he had a hot rod. Not cool for me - new windshield time this spring, and I only have 3,000 miles on the Z!

Just wondering who came up with phrase "Riced out"? I mean as an Asian person, I honestly feel offended! Not mad.. but I was thinking maybe an Asian person was the first race to be seen with a shitty ride and it just stuck. But why not just say... Crappy or ugly as @%^&... ahahah.. i mean i hope that you guys understand. I ain't complaining because I know my baby Z is not like that but....Rice just resembles Asian ...to me. ahahhaah.... But yes there are definitely some ugly looking wannabe cars out there!
